AUSTIN

Virtual health challenge offered

HealthCode and Austin Parks and Recreation invite residents to take part in the Fall in Action Virtual Activity Challenge in September.

Residents are encouraged to walk, run, bike, and paddle as they explore the city’s diverse parking system throughout the month. The goal of the virtual challenge is to get individuals to set sporting activity goals and develop new habits to support healthy lifestyles.

Participants can join as an individual or as an organization.

Participants can register on the Fall in Action registration page at HealthCode.org/FallIntoAction2021 and set a goal for the number of kilometers of activity to be achieved. During the month, activity is logged on HealthCode’s fitness tracker and the program’s public leaderboard is updated with miles earned, including running, walking, biking, swimming or yoga.

Entrants who travel at least one mile are eligible for more than $ 3,000 in prize draws, including a Naturepedic organic mattress.

Organizations can register at Healthcode.org/Organizations.
