An interactive gallery celebrating ice cream is coming to North Austin later this summer.

The Museum of Ice Cream announced on July 8th that it was opening its third location worldwide at The Domain this August. The gallery has additional locations in New York and Singapore.

This place will show a dozen installations “dedicated to the celebration and experience of enjoying ice cream,” according to the museum’s press release on July 8th.

“We started the journey of the Museum of Ice Cream in Austin as an idea at SXSW in 2016. We knew then that the combination of Austin’s love for great food, experiences, art and above all its inclusiveness and welcoming culture make the city a wonderful home For [the Museum of Ice Cream,]”Said Maryellis Bunn, co-founder and creative director, in the press release.

Visitors to the Museum of Ice Cream, 11506 Century Oaks Terrace, Ste. 128, Austin, can get a Shirley Temple Soft Serve at a retro-style restaurant and ride a life-size pet biscuit.

The museum also has a candy-filled pool with a slide. At this location in The Domain, the Museum of Ice Cream also offers visitors the option to rent poolside cabanas for a more private experience.

Tickets for the experience through September 30th will be available starting July 8th, starting at $ 39. To purchase tickets, visit the Museum of Ice Cream website.
