In Photos: Best Restaurants Night One

On December 14th and 6:00 p.m. the guests met in UMLAUF for a happy hour with specially created cocktails from Otoko. And while both the Yokai Berry (a brew made from gin and green tea) and the Nihon Switchel (a flavorful mocktail option) were delicious, it was only a harbinger of the night ahead. The evening menu consisted of five courses:

First course: fresh mozzarella from Buffalina Due with canned mushrooms

Second course: Toasted octopus from Justine’s Brasserie with piment d’Espelette & grilled bread

Third course: Uchi Austin’s Sake Tom Kha

Fourth course: Kemuri Tatsu-Ya’s hippie bone marrow

Fifth Course: Franklin BBQ’s Open Faced Pulled Pork Sammie
