Room & Board’s first Texas store is in Dallas.

MINNEAPOLIS – Top 100 retailer Room & Board is adding a second location in Texas in early 2022.

The Minneapolis-based modern home decorator announced it is opening a showroom at Domain Northside, an open-air mall in Austin.

The new store at 3200 Palm Way, Suite 170, will be approximately 12,000 square feet with a balance of room settings, home decor and a design center, as well as free design services. It will be Room & Board’s 21st store when it opens, and it joins a showroom in Dallas as the retailer’s second in the Lone Star State.

“We are very excited to announce plans to open our second Texas office in Austin in early 2022,” said Dana Backer, Director of Retail Customer Experience. “Austin is clearly a city that shares our passion for architecture and living. We look forward to joining a community of vibrant entertainment, art and culture, an inspiring dining scene, breathtaking outdoor experiences and a thriving economy. “

Officials say the new showroom supports Room & Board’s growth strategy of expanding into markets where the current customer base is strong while also taking root in locations that introduce the brand to a new demographic.

Room & Board checks in at # 24 on Furniture Today’s Top 100 list in 2021, with sales of $ 493 million in 20 stores in 2020.
