The wild resident Stephanie Fowler remembers the times when she felt overwhelmed as a manager and mother of four small children.

“I think I was really just looking for that little sense of control,” recalls Fowler.

The search led her to design bags that she found ideal for motherhood, work, and travel.

In 2015, Fowler transformed her designs into Austin Fowler, a growing brand with plans to expand beyond bags to other accessory lines soon.

Today Austin Fowler mainly sells handbags, shoulder bags and backpacks in rich colors like navy blue, olive green and maroon.

The bags are each designed for multiple purposes, according to Fowler. The designs include features like padded pockets for laptops and easy cleaning for use as a diaper bag.

“We’re now at a point where our customers buy the entire collection and then keep asking for more,” said Fowler.

Next month the company plans to expand with the introduction of a new line of accessories. A new limited edition collection will follow next year.

While the team is currently working remotely, Fowler is hoping to open a stationary location next year.

Austin Fowler bags will be sold exclusively on the company’s website for now, where buyers can also find motherhood tips such as printable packing checklists and blog posts.

Fowler hopes her designs continue to empower women by promoting a more organized lifestyle.

With a boost in self-confidence, “you can better contribute to your unique cause,” she said.
