Stealth House is modern in every way, but the design is reminiscent of many old design concepts. Thanks to the central courtyards, natural light enters the room, similar to the design of traditional Roman houses. This windowless house offers beautiful views of nature and a truly timeless look.

This home was designed by Scott Specht of Austin of Specht Architects and built on “edge lot” that many developers have overlooked. Previously, the area was considered undesirable and was unused. This residential design is an innovative solution to the problem of peripheral properties. People want to live near the city, but they don’t want to be “ugly” near landfills, industrial areas or anywhere else. This home has no windows, eliminating the problem of looking at unwanted views.

Similarly, the midcentury-inspired Austin home exudes nostalgic vibes

From the outside, the house doesn’t even have to look like a house. The simple exterior walls made of concrete and steel can become anything. They can be left as they are, or they can be decorated and wrapped. Stealth House can stand out or blend in.

Inside, this house is full of light and green thanks to the courtyards. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls reveal the inner courtyards and make them part of the interior design. As explained in a project statement, the design of Stealth House is based “on a traditional Roman house model”. This model centers a house around a large courtyard with the rooms facing inwards towards this central area. In this design, several small courtyards provide privacy and beautiful views to each bedroom.

The main courtyard leads you up the stairs to the roof. The roof is equipped with photovoltaic panels, a roof garden and a landing area for drone deliveries. Up here, homeowners can grow their own food and supply their homes with solar energy. And they can do everything while staying near the city and a lot that most people would miss.

Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a leafy courtyard while a family sits at the table and sofa inside.

The compact, space-saving design of Stealth House is perfect for first-time home buyers. The design is 1,100 square meters and includes two beds, two bathrooms and pleasant living spaces.
