The mild weather lasts until Wednesday with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. A cold front will arrive Wednesday night and could create a slight chance for morning showers or storms over the eastern counties. Behind the front, temperatures are returning to normal near mid-November.

  1. the Williamson County Commissioners Court approved a new redistribution card for justice of the peace, police officers and commissioners districts. (Round skirt patch)
  2. Round Rock ISD Cedar Ridge High School Marching Band finished 7th in Division 6A during the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Marching Band Contest held at the Alamodome in San Antonio over the weekend. (Round Rock ISD News)
  3. A An 18-year-old college student and member of the Texas National Guard was charged with arson on Monday in an attack on a synagogue in Austin on Halloween night, which caused extensive damage to the building, the authorities said. (Austin-American statesman)
  4. Democrat Beto O’Rourke has set itself the goal of running in Texas again. This time he plans to run for governor in 2022. (Austin patch)
  5. A Travis County Corrections Officer faces a third degree felony after he was suspected of smuggling contraband goods into the inmate prison, the district sheriff’s office said. (Austin patch)
