The Austin Regional Clinic opens an 8,000-square-foot clinic in Bastrop on Monday that will offer family medicine and childcare.

ARC Bastrop is cared for by family doctor Nathan W. Anderson and pediatrician Daniel T. Coelho at 622 Texas 71 West in Bastrop, next to Ascension Seton Bastrop Hospital. Both doctors are accepting new and established patients, the clinic announced.

ARC Bastrop has 18 examination rooms and offers appointments on the same day as well as telephone and online appointment planning around the clock and the ARC MyChart patient portal. Nursing services as well as COVID-19 vaccinations, well-check examinations and more will be offered throughout the night, the clinic said.

The clinic also offers on-site laboratory and radiology services.

The Austin Regional Clinic said it had decided to open a facility in Bastrop to meet the growing medical care needs of residents of one of the fastest growing cities and counties in central Texas.

“Bastrop, the city and county town, is experiencing growth in all areas with its local charm, lower cost of living and easy access to Austin and the airport,” the clinic said in a statement.

ARC Bastrop Clinic Director David Lambing said he is excited to be part of the Austin Regional Clinic’s growth and meet the growing demand for medical services in Bastrop.

“We have been looking forward to being in Bastrop for some time, and we look forward to opening up and now offering the residents in and around the community access to high-quality basic services in their neighborhood,” he said.

The medical building, owned by Austin-based commercial real estate company KPG Commercial, was converted to fill the single-story shell into an outpatient medical clinic, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The tenant fit-out of the building began on March 15 and was completed on July 16, according to the TDLR. Austin-based KGA Architecture was the design firm for the project.

The clinic said it will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony this fall.

The Austin Regional Clinic is a multi-specialty medical group providing primary and specialty care in 33 locations in 14 cities in central Texas.
