With the aim of redefining the hospitality landscape in southwest Austin and enhancing that ambition with breathtaking views of the Hill Country, a modern, European-influenced hotel will open just minutes from downtown this fall.
AC Hotel Austin Hill Country, a Marriott hotel on 7415 Southwest Parkway that anchors Lantana Place Mall, has 131 guest rooms and four suites that highlight contemporary design, sleek furnishings, open floor plans, and views of the foothills of Central Texas to offer guests moments of calm.
Perhaps less rushed than its downtown Austin sister hotel, the five-story hotel is still only about a 20-minute drive from the city center, giving the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country the rare quality of feeling far from the hustle and bustle of the city Comfort and convenience at the same time.
Amenities at the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country include free Wi-Fi, luxury bath products, pet-friendly accommodations, a fitness center with Life Fitness machines and a peloton bike, an outdoor pool with reserve cabanas, an outdoor lounge-style seating area, and a fire pit, free of charge On-site parking with charging stations for electric cars and three meeting rooms.
Though a bit away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, the hotel is indeed an Austin property, and that means Texan cuisine and handcrafted cocktails are essential. The hotel’s Salt + Stone Rooftop Bar, a covered open-air lounge on the top floor, serves expertly prepared cocktails, local beer and wine, and small plates – but again, it’s the panoramic view of the Hill Country that is likely to impress Guests most of all.

Atlanta-based Peachtree Hotel Group will manage the new hotel and the official opening date will be announced shortly.

And in preparation for the opening, the AC Hotel Austin Hill Country is holding a “casting call”, also known as a job fair, in the neighboring Moviehouse & Eatery on Friday, September 17 and Saturday, September 18, daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The property seeks a variety of hotel and restaurant roles, from bartenders and room attendants to guest service agents and maintenance technicians.
