Private equity firm Godspeed Capital Management has acquired Austin Brockenbrough & d Associates to create a new engineering and consulting firm that will serve clients in the public and private sectors.

Brockenbrough, based in Richmond, Virginia, and Prime Engineering, a portfolio company of Godspeed Capital, will merge into a new entity called Prime ABA to provide architecture, design, surveying and construction management services, the private equity firm announced on Tuesday .

The acquired company has worked with clients such as the Department of Defense and Virginia state agencies.

Douglas Lake Jr., founder and managing partner of Godspeed Capital, said the company aims to build on the legacy of Brockenbrough and Prime to identify new growth opportunities in multiple markets.

PSMJ Resources and AEC Advisors advised Godspeed Capital and Brockenbrough respectively on the transaction.
