• DBX is independent of drone hardware and software and is open to air analysis from all over the world
• UTM-capable and 5G-capable, DBX is the first real step towards larger UAM vertiports of the future
SINGAPORE, PARIS, AUSTIN – October 2021 – H3 Dynamics announces the launch of DBX-G7, a brand new Vertiport system for autonomous drone operations. Smarter, faster and multimodal with 5G and 4G, DBX was developed to scale the ongoing digitization efforts in the areas of security compliance, maintenance and crisis management.
Applications range from smart cities across Asia to different types of industrial locations around the world.
Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, DBX-G7 is a direct response to the new paradigm of telepresence and remote work. DBX takes on all the functions of a drone pilot on site: navigation, docking, stowing, battery charging, data retrieval, transmission and cloud-based processing. Autonomous systems like DBX help reduce the need for on-site presence and ease the increasing pressure on labor shortages.
“With the accelerated digitization, the need for structure scans is growing, while the availability of pilots is limited. We want to close the gap with our autonomous DBX drone stations, ”says Samuel Chauffaille, head of the robotics systems department at H3 Dynamics.
H3 Dynamics is using its AI-enabled digital inspection solutions to address the many thousands of high-rise buildings in Singapore that require regular inspections, most of which are piloted by drones. The company has expanded its solution through strategic partnerships, including SAP connectivity to send repair orders directly from the H3 Dynamics digital platform (see video). The corporate software giant SAP and H3 Dynamics are now working together on more and more industrial use cases.
Through its global partnership with leading air traffic control company THALES, H3 Dynamics is working on real-time airspace integration through a multi-pronged approach around the world. DBX is the dawn of autonomous urban air mobility – one that is building instant, lower risk commercial experiences, 5kg drone operations, a living laboratory for cities with 4-5 tonne air taxis to transport passengers, a market that is about 1 . Dollars will reach trillions by 2040, according to Morgan Stanley.
“What makes DBX really unique is its open architecture philosophy. Unlike other closed environments that limit users to a single type of drone, DBX can host professional drones from different manufacturers and support multiple communication protocols and operating standards ”- says Taras Wankewycz, Founder and CEO of H3 Dynamics.
This enables a wide universe of existing use cases and customer requirements in all regions – from solar parks to precision farming, critical infrastructure maintenance, utilities, buildings, perimeter security and much more.
“DBX will accelerate the global drone economy and existing solution developers around the world. Just as smartphones help develop the mobile app economy, H3 Dynamics’ DBX will leverage the global drone analytics economy. “
