Honor Flight Austin trip for Pearl Harbor anniversary to take off

Austin, Texas – Flights land and take off from Austin Bergstrom International Airport Every day, but on Monday, a tour group will set off on a trip that will celebrate an important anniversary.
Honor flight Austin organizes the “Pearl Harbor Remembrance” trip. Twelve World War II veterans, eleven men and one woman, travel to Washington, DC
The group’s plane is scheduled to depart on Monday at 1:00 p.m. and on Tuesday evening at 80. arrive back in central TexasNS Pearl Harbor Anniversary.
The trip consists of visiting a number of monuments. On Tuesday, Honor Flight Austin is also hosting a Welcome Home celebration for the veterans.
“The generosity of Texans enabled 2,700 of our senior veterans, many of whom served more than half a century ago, to travel to Washington DC to see the memorials they honor for their services,” said Matt Mathias, chairman of Honor Flug Austin said in a press release. “These donations come from companies and above all from you and your neighbors.”
The trip also marks an anniversary for Honor Flight Austin. It’s the group’s 70sNS Flight. The program is donated and does not cost anything to veterans who participate.
HEB sponsors the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Honor Flight.
Honor Flight Austin is currently accepting Applications Online for future trips. World War II veterans residing in Texas and the Korean War, as well as Vietnam War veterans residing in Austin and the “14 surrounding counties” are eligible.
