Austin, Texas – The City of Kyle is Expanding the Uber Kyle $ 3.14 Program!
The program allows all Kyle residents and visitors to enjoy a trip that starts and ends within the Kyle of City limits for the price of $ 3.14. The program will issue drivers with a monthly voucher through the City of Kyle mobile app.
As of Friday, October 1, the newly expanded program will increase the monthly journeys from eight journeys per month to 10 journeys per month and expand the service area. Drivers also receive round-trip transportation from Kyle to the Austin Veterans Administration and two one-way trips to and from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport per person, per month.
“We’re proud to see how well the US $ 3.14 Uber Kyle program has performed since it was launched,” said Pro Tem Mayor Rick Koch. “And now we’re even more proud to expand mobility to more places and to those who need it most.”
How to Use Uber Kyle $ 3.14:
- Download the Uber app and create an account. If you have an existing Uber account, make sure your app is updated.
- Download the City of Kyle app and select “Over $ 3.14”.
- Select “Receive Voucher”. You will then be asked to enter information and “Accept Voucher”.
- After accepting the voucher, use the Uber app to enter a destination. When the coupon information is applied, the discount will be displayed above the “Confirm” button.
The Uber Kyle program for $ 3.14 also offers wheelchair accessible vehicles through UberWAV for the same fare of $ 3.14. Passengers can choose the UberWAV option when they retrieve their city voucher and set up their ride.
With iOS VoiceOver, Android TalkBack and wireless Braille display compatibility, the Uber app also makes it easier for blind or visually impaired drivers to get to where they need to go.
Assistive technologies such as visual and vibrating alerts can help deaf or hard of hearing drivers use the Uber app easily, and in-app features such as the ability to enter a destination can facilitate non-verbal communication between driver and driver.
How to Use UberWAV Kyle $ 3.14:
- Download the Uber app and create an account. If you have an existing Uber account, make sure your app is updated.
- Download the City of Kyle app and select “Over $ 3.14”.
- Select “Receive Voucher”. You will then be asked to enter information and “Accept Voucher”.
- Select “WALLET” from the Uber app menu. Scroll down, tap “Add Promo Code”, enter “WAVKyle” and tap “Add”.
- Enter your destination and swipe the drive menu for more options. You will find ‘WAV’ in the field “More” vehicle options. When the coupon information is applied, the discount will be displayed above the “Confirm” button.
Drivers must be 18 or over or accompanied by an adult to use the Uber Kyle program for $ 3.14. If passengers travel outside of the service area, the Uber Kyle $ 3.14 promotion will not apply and they will be responsible for paying the entire fare. Tips are not included in the $ 10 grant and are at the discretion of the driver.
