Local Flavors, Market Style Concessions Highlight Culinary Offerings at UBS Arena

BUFFALO, NY, and BELMONT PARK, NY, November 4, 2021 / PRNewswire / – UBS Arena, the most anticipated live entertainment venue in the metropolitan area and future home of the New York Islanders Hockey Club, will feature a distinctive “new York“Taste when it opens its doors later this month.
The global hospitality company Delaware North has dealt with a number of new York Grocery suppliers and brands in the open-plan area are creating a unique culinary program in the UBS Arena that fans can experience in concession areas, VIP suites and premium clubs that combine boutique hospitality with live entertainment. Throughout the venue, fans can expect chef-created menus and locally inspired specialties.

At the UBS Arena, Delaware North will source 75% of its food ingredients within a 300-mile radius, depending on seasonality, and has partnered with local and regional vendors to source products that of New York State Try NY Initiative. Local brand highlights include:
- the Harrison, the popular Flower park Restaurant known for its homemade dishes and cocktails will have a large presence in a food center in the arena, and its famous cheeseburgers and fries will be offered in three branches in the general concession area.
- Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque, a fast growing, new York born barbeque concept, will offer its Slow Smoked Brisket, Burnt Ends and Pulled Pork sandwich varieties as part of the general concession offer.
- Milk Bar, the famous dessert brand and the in. founded companies Manhattan, will be present in the UBS Arena with three concession shops, which among other things offer its popular Soft-Serve Cereal Milk ™.
- Blue Line Deli & Bagels, whose flagship deli is in. is located Huntington, NY, will be selling its iconic blue and orange bagels alongside classic deli-style sandwiches and specialty bagel sandwiches at several of the market locations in the arena.
- The sausage king of new York its Italian sausage and other premium meat products will be available in all concessions as well as in premium suites.
Delaware North has redesigned the traditional concession service for the UBS Arena to include 12 market-style points of sale offering a mix of hot, freshly prepared foods, complemented by a variety of ready-made meals and self-service snacks and beverages. The markets will use a streamlined checkout process with mobile ordering and other cashless payment technologies.
Market and food stalls offer a wide variety of foods including street tacos, seafood, modern Chinese, halal and sausages, a carving station and deli, as well as classics like pizza, cheese steaks, chicken tenders, ice cream, burgers and pretzels.
Portable stalls also offer a wide variety of food (popcorn, sushi, BBQ and nachos) and drinks (vide canned cocktails, Ilegal Mezcal craft cocktails, Caffey Pop Selters with spikes and grab-and-go locations selling beer and other canned beverages).
The specialties in the entire arena include gluten-free, vegetarian and kosher products.
In the UBS Arena, Delaware North also offers comprehensive support for premium hospitality services in 56 suites, 22 UBS club lofts and five large club areas.
The culinary direction of Delaware North is headed by Executive Chef Ted Donnelly. Hailing from the Tri-State, Donnelly has nearly 15 years of experience in high-profile environments, including four years at Delaware North at MetLife Stadium and at major events such as Super Bowl XLVIII, the 2013 Stanley Cup Final and the NHL All Star Game 2016 and 2015 MLB All Star Game. Before returning to Delaware North to lead the UBS Arena culinary operations, he served as Senior Executive Chef for the five years University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
In addition to its local partnerships, Delaware North leverages its culinary talent and operational experience in new York through its Patina Restaurant Group, which operates several high-end restaurants in the area, including Nick + Stef’s Steakhouse (Midtown Manhattan); Lincoln Ristorante (Lincoln Center); STATE Grill and Bar (Empire State Building); and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
