There’s a cool little gem known as the Cathedral of Junk tucked away in a neighborhood in Austin.
The cathedral was brought into being by Vince Hannemann in 1988 and has been expanding it ever since. Vince told RoadsideAmerica.com that the cathedral is made up of more than 60 tons of garbage.
If you look around the Junk Cathedral’s Facebook page, you’ll find that it’s pretty much anything you can think of: bike wheels, a basketball goal, shopping carts, street signs, old chairs, beer bottles, you name it .
