Friday October 22nd
Pumpkin Nights in Austin
Pumpkin Nights is coming to Austin this October. The Halloween-themed walking trail will be available daily from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm at 10621 Pioneer Farms Drive in Austin during October.
The trail will feature a 3 meter high jack-o-lanterns, the world’s largest pumpkin guitar, a flying 12 meter handcrafted dragon, a life-size pumpkin pirate ship and other fantastic surprises built by the event’s artists with over 5,000 handicrafts . carved real and synthetic pumpkins.

Formula 1 Grand Prix of the USA
The week-long festival begins at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin and extends from Friday to Sunday for the most important US Formula 1 race.
On Friday at 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., the drivers will have two training sessions on the track. Qualifying takes place on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the 56-lap race starts on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

“Into the Woods” at the Zach Theater
The fairy tale by composer Stephen Sondheim is brought to life in a contemporary, reinterpreted outdoor show. Reserve your seat here. The show runs from October 5th to November 7th.
Williamson County Fair and Rodeo
The Williamson County Fair and Rodeo is scheduled to begin Thursday, October 21st and continue through Saturday, October 23rd, at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail, in Taylor.
The event features a petting zoo, pig races, vendors and food trucks, mutton, live music, rides, a beer and vineyard, a farmers market, and much more.

Saturday 23 October
Puptopie in Austin
Puptopia 2021 kicks off on Saturday, October 23, at Mueller Lake Park in Austin.
The festival offers a ball pit jumping show on the main stage, a K9 lounge, an opportunity for puppies to relax in the SPAW, a pawgrounds and pupformances. Tickets start at $ 30 for entry.

BARKtacular HOWLoween in Round Rock
Dress up your four-legged friend and bring the family to the 2nd annual BARKtacular HOWLoween Dog Festival at the Round Rock Depot on Saturday, October 23rd.
This event welcomes friendly, leashed dogs for trick or treating, costume contest, look-alike contest, vendors, and more. The entry fee includes swag items for all pup participants and additional prizes for the competition winners. Would you like to participate? Register online.
Diwali Festival in Round Rock
Round Rock City will open this year’s Diwali Festival, known as the “Celebration of Light,” on Saturday October 23 at Centennial Plaza, 301 W. Baghdad Avenue.
The event features beautiful street lights, tasty food, music, cultural dance, beautiful rangoli (sand art) and a fashion show.
Children can learn various arts and crafts while others can take part in free Bollywood dance lessons. Vendors display colorful handicrafts, Indian clothing, jewelry, and artists offer temporary henna tattoos.
Drive-Thru Trunk Or Treat in Round Rock
The Round Rock Police and Fire Department are hosting a Trunk Or Treat drive-through event from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on October 23 at the Round Rock Public Safety Training Center, 2801 North Mays Street.
The drive-thru event begins on Eagles Nest Street, turns on Oakmont Drive and North Mays Streets before ending at the training center.

Including a Trunk Or Treat event for children in Round Rock
Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its 7th annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 23rd from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The free event, aimed at children with special needs, takes place (rain or shine) at Seton Williams Hospital on 201 Seton Parkway. Please visit the city’s events page for more information.
Texas Book Festival in Austin
The Texas Book Festival will begin this year from October 23rd to 31st with a mix of virtual and personal events.
The festival features hundreds of nationally and critically acclaimed adult and child authors, exhibitors, activities, and myriad opportunities to meet authors and other book lovers.
Austin Symphony Orchestra’s “Back to the Future” event
The Austin Symphony has a couple of performances this weekend. Visitors can watch the classic film “Back to the Future” while the orchestra performs the music live in sync with the film.
That happens on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the Dell Hall in the Long Center.

Austin Symphony Orchestra’s Halloween Children’s Concert
The Halloween Children’s Concert will take place on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Dell Hall of the Long Center. The event is aimed at children aged 2-10 years. The orchestra encourages families to attend the children’s concert in their costumes.
Austin FC vs. Houston Dynamo
Austin FC will face state rivals Houston Dynamo at 4pm on Sunday at Q2 Stadium.
The Verde and the Black have a couple of defeats behind them, but the atmosphere in the Q2 stadium is always “electric”. Austin band The Nightowls will perform on Live Oak after the game. Visit the Austin FC website for more information.

Texas Pumpkin Festival
The pumpkin field in Leander will be open from Friday, September 25th from 10am to 7pm and will last until Thursday, November 7th. The festival is located at 10930 East Crystal Falls Parkway and is open seven days a week.
Guests have the chance to explore more than 5 acres of pumpkins and gourds, play a variety of games, lose themselves in a howling maze, enjoy silly fun on the bouncy castle and obstacle course, the top of the giant 65-foot super climb up slides and speed down, enjoy the kids’ and tractor trains, and a host of other events and activities.
Barton Hill Farms Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze in Bastrop
Barton Hills Farms, 1115 FM 969, in Bastrop is hosting its annual pumpkin patch and corn maze every Saturday and Sunday from September 25th to November 7th, 10am to 6pm.
The farm offers sunflowers to pick along with pumpkins, the Hey Elon! Corn maze, live music, food, beer, apple cannons, archery and more. Please visit the farm’s Facebook page for more information.
Scream Hollow in Smithville
Considered one of the biggest (and scariest) Halloween events in Texas, this Halloween park features all of the spooky places near Austin.
The park, located at 149 Split Rail Lane in Smithville, opened on September 17th and will last every Friday through Sunday through Halloween. It offers five enchanted attractions, an enchanted hay ride, live music in the beer garden, two bars and an outdoor tavern, a café, a carnival bus with food, souvenir shops and more.

Bat Town Scare Place in Austin
This 15 acre Halloween theme park in Austin is home to multiple haunted houses, food, and general spooky, spooky, and horror entertainment.
The Bat City Scaregrounds at 14101 South Turnersville Road will open to the public on Friday October 1st.

Terror on Two Jack’s Haunted House in Round Rock
Located on Two Jacks Trail 7410, this haunted house was “built on the grave of the Hairy Man of Brushy Creek”. It offers horrors every weekend October 9th through October 31st and has an entry fee of $ 5 per person. Every entry is a donation to the Round Rock Serving Center.
House of Torment in Austin
House of Torment is back this year to terrify guests with its three new haunted Austin attractions. The haunted house is open in October from 7pm to 10pm.
Tickets start at $ 19.99 for general admission and can be purchased online.
COVID-19 protocol: All guests must have a negative COVID-19 test (in the last 72 hours) or proof of vaccination.
Fatal Fear Haunted House in Austin
Fatal Fear Haunted House, an immersive home game in northwest Austin, is widely recognized as “one of the most realistic, terrifying, and intense haunted houses you will experience in Austin”.
This year’s haunted house, located at 3509 Cowden Drive, will be themed The Haunting of Mortis Manor and Hillside Sanitorium. Reservations are free and can be made online.
Donations are requested at the door. Officials said 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Cups and Cones Community Foundation, helping to feed families in need.
