Third Man Charged In Street Racing Fatal Arrested

KANE COUNTY, IL – A third man charged in a street racing case that resulted in an accident that killed two Judson University students was arrested.

Kaheel Malik Steele, from Blocks 1-99 on Austin Avenue in Carpentersville, was taken into custody last week and is currently being held at the Kane County Adult Justice Center on $ 250,000 bail. He was arrested “without incident” after he turned himself in, according to a Facebook post from Elgin police.

Steele is one of two men who were killed in connection with the April 20 accident in Elgin in which Nathanael Madison, a senior from Wenersville, Pennsylvania and Dallas Colburn, was for road racing, reckless homicide, and speeding more than 35 Miles per hour to be charged. a senior from Plano.

Trevon Morris is also charged in the case. In addition to street racing and ruthless homicide charges, he is faced with a severe DUI that results in death and an aggravated DUI with no royalties.

Morris remains behind bars on Friday morning on $ 100,000 bail. A third man, Manny L. Madison and Colburn were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other Judson seniors in the car were injured and taken to the Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. All students studied in Judson’s architecture program.

Morris is next expected in court for a status hearing on June 25th at 9:00 am. Meanwhile, Steele was brought to trial on June 11th.
