Your Guide to DFW Restaurant Week 2021

[ad_1]

The 24th DFW restaurant week (uh … weeks, really) is just around the corner. From August 9th to September 5th, foodies can discover great food while supporting the North Texas Food Bank, Lena Pope and local restaurants. How to navigate the event.

How it works

After the pandemic resulted in the event being downsized last year, DFW Restaurant Week is back in full swing for 2021. It technically runs August 9-15, but many restaurants are participating in an expanded format of the event through September 5.

More than 100 restaurants in the Metroplex offer special menus for lunch and / or dinner. For every meal purchased, 20% of the proceeds will be donated to charity. Guests can make reservations for a dine-in experience or take away. Reservations are not required, but given the pandemic and the popularity of the event, those looking for a guaranteed table should book in advance.

Special menus

Restaurant Week is an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their best deals by presenting a special menu. For example, B&B Butchers & Restaurant offers a two-course lunch of B&B meatballs, brisket ravioli, pan-fried salmon and carrot cake. The evening menu includes three courses with a choice of whipped ricotta, BLT salad, ribeye with bones and New York cheesecake. The full menu and reservation information is available online.

Wicked Butcher’s special menu includes steak tartare, marinated beet salad, ginger miso, chocolate tartlets and a wicked sundae with caramel corn. The full menu can be found on the Wicked Butcher website.

Reservations

But of course there are more restaurants that offer specials to celebrate the event. The Official Restaurant Week Directory is a great tool for narrowing down your choices and finding contact information to make a reservation. It also includes access to special menus and options for filtering restaurants by price range, location and attendance dates.
