AUSTIN, Texas – (BUSINESS WIRE) – Dec. July 2021–
LitLingo, a real-time AI communications analytics platform, announced today that it has completed a $ 7.5 million Series A funding round. The investment will be led by Breyer Capital, along with former IBM CEO Sam Palmisano, with the participation of existing investors including LiveOak Venture Partners, Clarke Nobiletti and James Marsico.
Today more than ever, the success of a company depends on effective digital communication and the empowerment of employees with first-class tools to be productive in virtual and hybrid work environments. Founded by two product and engineering leaders who developed business-critical real-time systems at Uber, LitLingo enables companies to improve communication, strengthen culture and mitigate risk by providing real-time speech analytics on platforms such as Gmail, Slack, Zendesk , and Microsoft O365. The platform is specifically designed to promote open, productive organizations where everyone is involved in the success of their business.
Today, LitLingo helps businesses promote effective communication and reduce the risk of litigation, compliance and reputation by showing the author questionable language in real time before a message is sent. LitLingo can also block message transmission and alert compliance teams to review. In addition, LitLingo’s anonymized analytics tool provides executives with critical, actionable insights into corporate culture and a real-time understanding of communication patterns between teams.
The new round of funding will be led by Breyer Capital, a leading global technology investor with offices in Silicon Valley and Austin that invests in the most innovative AI startups. “The future of work requires advanced digital communication solutions and AI-based tools. At the same time, executives in the C-Suite and in the boardroom are looking for ways to effectively build and improve the corporate culture in an increasingly complex work environment. LitLingo is an incredibly valuable tool in our new hybrid workplaces and positions itself as a key player in the analysis and management of digital communications, ”said Jim Breyer, Founder and CEO of Breyer Capital. “We are proud to partner with LitLingo to continue building a high-performing, affordable platform that companies and their employees can use to optimize their business communications.”
“LitLingo is rethinking how we build culture and mitigate risk,” said Sam Palmisano, chairman of the Center for Global Enterprise and former CEO and chairman of IBM. “We have all seen the impact a few poorly written emails can have on a company. However, traditional approaches to compliance and risk mitigation are outdated, reactive, expensive, and difficult to scale to large organizations. LitLingo is a unique platform that offers employees and organizations of all sizes significant added value. “
“LitLingo uses artificial intelligence to proactively help good people avoid bad mistakes in the workplace and to help executives create an overall better workplace,” said Kevin Brinig, CEO of LitLingo. “It is an endorsement that tech experts and seasoned leaders like Jim and Sam see the value of our platform, and we are thrilled to hear their advice and experiences as we help more companies and industries communicate more securely and effectively operate.”
LitLingo plans to use the capital to double the company’s workforce over the next twelve months at its Austin, TX headquarters and remotely. The expansion of the company’s go-to-market team includes major investments in recruiting sales, marketing, customer success and engineering roles. In addition, the newly secured funding will help support product improvements, including expanding the library of AI models and communication platform data and application connectors.
