Catfish Parlour closing northwest Austin location after nearly 50 years

AUSTIN, Texas – Catfish Parlor, a long-time staple in Austin, is closing its northwest Austin location this week after nearly 50 years.
The owner has confirmed to KVUE that he is retiring, so the 11910 Research Blvd., near US 183, will close on Saturday, November 6th. The location was opened in 1973.
Catfish Parlor has two other locations, one on East Ben White Boulevard in South Austin and one on Williams Drive in Georgetown. None of these locations will be closed.
