Curley, Deaton named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

LUBBOCK, Texas –

Junior linebacker Patrick Curley and senior offensive lineman Dawson Deaton were announced on Thursday as members of the Academic All-District® Football Team 2021 selected by CoSIDA. The organization annually recognizes the best student-athletes in the country for their combined achievements on the field and in the classroom.

Deaton deserves a nod to the Academic All-District® Football Team for the second year in a row, while it is Curley’s first appearance on the list.

All Academic All-District® honorees on the first team take part in the CoSIDA Academic All-America® voting. Academic All-America® first and second team winners will be announced on December 15th.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include student-athletes from eight divisions divided into geographic districts in the United States and Canada.
