Austin, Texas, July 1, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Four Kitchens, a distributed web design agency based in Austin, TX, is expanding its mainstay in the non-profit sector by merging with Advomatic.
With roots in New York City, Advomatic is a digital agency serving an extensive list of mission-driven clients in the nonprofit advocacy and higher education sectors. The merger brings together two longstanding powerhouses in the Drupal and WordPress communities. This creates a combined portfolio between the two companies, the NBC, the Sierra Club, the Columbia University, and public radio exchanges.
The merger takes effect July 1.
“The emphasis on social well-being at Advomatic is particularly exciting,” says Todd Ross Nienkerk, CEO and Co-Founder of Four Kitchens. “At Four Kitchens, we feel obliged and urged to do more socially impact work, especially based on what we’ve seen over the past four years.
“We are increasingly blaming ourselves for the role small businesses play in creating a fairer and more equitable world,” added Nienkerk.
The merger with Four Kitchens will allow Advomatic’s customer base, comprised of right-wing organizations and trade unions, to access a comprehensive resource bank to help them achieve their digital goals. Founded in 2006, Four Kitchens started out as a website development company that today provides digital strategy, UX design, frontend and backend development, and analytics services. Four Kitchens also developed the Emulsify Design System, an open source tool for style guides and component libraries. Emulsify enables faster, more accessible content creation and website development.
“The magic here is that we’re not just great agencies from a technical point of view – we’re also agencies that are very value-driven and value-driven,” said Sarah Durham, CEO of Advomatic. “We approach our customer relationships with a lot of cooperation and an eye for what’s right. The combination of these values and this expertise makes us an invincible team.” Both Nienkerk and Durham emphasized that the customers of both companies will be maintained during the ongoing transition.
Four Kitchens has built a solid list of higher education clients that includes: Yale and NYU. By bringing in the talent and experience of Advomatic, the company can offer additional WordPress know-how as well as greater capacities for ongoing support. Called Continuous Maintenance, Advomatic’s program of providing long-term website support and improvement to their customers is an integral part of their business.
“Advomatic is a very well run organization … and there are so many reasons for its success,” said Nienkerk. “We want to learn these reasons and adapt where it works for everyone and let the best ideas win. There are some really interesting ways to fuse our approaches so that we are more than the sum of our parts.”
