In addition to Miami, Florida, this marks the second new campus opening since Galen joined HCA Healthcare (NYSE: HCA) in 2020 to become a premier career destination for nurses while supporting the growing need for nursing staff in the country. The 26,000 square foot campus offers resources designed to enhance the student experience and prepare future nurses for entry into the field. Focusing solely on nursing education, Galen prepares a diverse student body to become nurses who provide high quality, compassionate care. In collaboration with HCA Healthcare, the national partner of St. David’s HealthCare, Galen will have one of the highest nursing training courses in the Austin Region with a state-of-the-art facility with advanced patient simulation labs and classroom learning environments that encourage hands-on learning. Located at 1201 W. Louis Henna Blvd., the Austin campus is designed to encourage learning with advanced classroom and simulation technology mixed with collaborative and creative space. That Austin Campus offers three programs including:
- 3-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensed vocational nursing (LVN)
- Licensed Professional Nursing for Associate Degree in Nursing Bridge (LVN to ADN Bridge)
The first semester for the 3-year BSN program begins 30. September and the first term for the LVN and LVN to BSN programs is due to begin January 3rd. Enrollment is currently in progress. In addition, Galen offers online RN-to-BSN and MSN programs for nurses looking to advance their education to support career growth and development.
