AE Restaurant Group opens doors to first of 60 Hoots Wings locations under development agreement

July 19, 2021 // Franchising.com // LITTLE ELM, Texas – Hoots Wings has announced the opening of its first franchise location in Little Elm, Texas, scheduled for Monday, July 19 at the Little Elm Corners Shopping Center the southwest corner of US380 and Navo Road, located at 26742 E University Dr., Aubrey, TX 76227.

The location is backed by the Dallas-based AE Restaurant Group, led by Cary and Jackie Albert, who signed a contract for 60 franchise locations in the state of Texas in February.

The Alberts were the first franchisees in Hoots Wings history to sign an agreement with a development focus in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Austin areas. The Alberts have nine other locations under development, seven in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and two in the Austin area, which are scheduled to open by the end of the year. The couple plan to open 10-15 locations each year to open all 60 locations over the next six years.

“From the moment we found out about Hoots Wings, we knew this was the perfect opportunity for us,” said Jackie Albert. “The residents of Little Elm and the surrounding communities will love the varied menu with over 10,000 flavor combinations. We are excited to be the first franchisee to play a role in the history of Hoots Wings and bring their great food to the people of Texas. “

Hoots Wings is best known for its wings and the variety of sauces and rubs available. Customers can choose between five cooking options (breaded, smoked, naked, boneless or roasted) and fourteen sauce and dry grinds. Sauces and dry rubs range in spiciness from the 3-mile island, flavorful garlic and garlic habanero to milder lemon pepper, Texas BBQ and parmesan garlic. In addition to the wings, the menu includes shrimp, chicken sandwiches, and side dishes like waffle fries, tots, mac and cheese, and mozzarella sticks.

The experienced restaurant entrepreneurs bring 27 years of experience to this company. The Alberts have been franchise owners of Schlotzsky’s, a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in sandwiches, since 1994. Over the years, Cary and Jackie have expanded this business to 30 locations.

“Jackie and Cary have proven to be the dominant force in the restaurant community,” said Sal Melilli, CEO of HOA Brands, the parent company of Hooters and hoots Wings. This first location in Little Elm is a kickstarter to their overall goal of bringing in 60 units, and they have proven they don’t waste time doing it. Hoots Wings and the newest location in Little Elm are in good hands with the Alberts. “

Hoots Wings – Little Elm is open Sunday through Wednesday 11:00 AM. until 10 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
