Texas-born Noah Kara brings the first Soon to be Famous Chicken franchise location to the state’s capital.

Layne's Chicken Fingers will open its first location in Austin early next yearAustin, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Layne’s Chicken Fingers, the Texas fan-favorite chicken franchise, is coming to Austin. The new location will open in early 2022 and will give Austin residents a chance to find out what made Layne’s an iconic name in Texas. (Tip: chicken fingers don’t get much crisper than this.)

Originally from Houston, Kara has dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur all his life. After spending some time in America as a business analyst at Accenture, he discovered franchising and Layne’s Chicken Fingers. Kara soon fell in love with Layne’s delicious chicken and decided to move to Austin to develop the brand. This is the first of three locations Kara is opening with Layne’s – after opening in Austin, his next focus will be on opening a new location in Corpus Christi.

“It’s a very family culture that is exactly what I’ve been looking for,” Kara said. “I want to be able to grow this business.”

The menu offers irresistible variations on the classic fried chicken dishes, including a 3-finger chicken sandwich on Texas toast, a fried chicken club sandwich with bacon and cheddar, and of course, chicken fingers with insanely addicting sauces like buttermilk ranch and Honey mustard, BBQ and Layne’s – a spicy, piquant in-house creation that has become a popular place to go for loyal customers.

Layne’s new Austin location is the latest addition to the fast-growing franchise brand’s list of thriving restaurants, including 8 in Texas.

The franchise plans to reach 100 units in markets across the country by 2025 and is actively recruiting franchisees who want to join the growing brand. The most important developing markets include Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and Florida.

Founded in College Station in 1994, the original location became a Texas A&M legend known for its small-town charm, friendly service, iconic chicken fingers and secret sauce. When opening corporate offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the executive team focused on fine-tuning its operations and starting the franchise business. Now the company plans to bring Layne’s Soon to be Famous ™ Chicken Fingers to the rest of the world and open 100 locations over the next four years.
