The new Oak Hill HEB is slated to open on October 27th, HEB representative Felicia Pena said on October 25th.

The 90,000 square meter building includes a shady play area, picnic tables and a drive-through pharmacy, according to a company press release.

The newly constructed site is approximately a mile west of the existing Oak Hill HEB at 7901 W. Hwy. 290, Austin. Lake Travis Fiddlers and Ophie Garcia, HEB’s longest-serving employee, will be severed at an opening ceremony on October 27 at 8:00 am, according to a press release on October 26th.

The shop also offers a wide range of craft and imported beers and wines, as well as dinner tonight foods such as sushi and prepared chilled dinners.

According to the announcement, HEB built the new building with a focus on sustainability. The room uses rainwater collection and water retention basins. The company is also preparing for a possible future installation of solar panels, the press release said.

The older store on 7010 Hwy. 71, Austin, will close with the new store opening, HEB representatives said, although they haven’t set a specific date.
