Oak View Group Inks Deal With Ticketmaster To Provide Ticketing Services Across Its World-Class Venues

THE ANGEL, July 19, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Oak View Group (OVG), the global venues development, consulting, and investment company for the sports and live entertainment industries, today announced a long-term partnership with Ticketmaster, the world’s leading ticketing provider, for their latest event and ticketing technology for six of OVG’s new world-class arenas, including New Yorks UBS arena, Seattle Arena climate promise, Austins Moody Center, Coachella Valley Arena in Palm Desert, California., Savannah arena, and co-op live in Manchester, England.

Ticketmaster continues a longstanding NHL partnership and will expand its relationship with the New York Islanders when they move to the UBS Arena. Ticketmaster not only acts as the team’s official ticketing partner, but also offers fans a seamless ticketing experience for all UBS Arena events. Ticketmaster will continue to expand its NHL support through a partnership with the league’s newest expansion team, the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. When the state-of-the-art venue in. opens October 2021, Ticketmaster will offer its innovative ticketing solutions for the Kraken and the WNBA’s Storm in addition to the exciting concert events in the arena.

Ticketmaster will also drive OVG’s international growth by providing digital ticketing technology at Co-op Live in support Manchester, the largest arena in Britain, which will premiere in 2023.

Fans can easily enter the event via contactless scanners and access digital tickets on their mobile device, which enables faster entry for a smoother event experience. In the future, venues may also implement new features for contactless payments, mobile ordering and on-site experiences via the Ticketmaster app. With this technology in place, the venue may be able to provide full autonomy for services such as seat concessions, as well as pre-ordering and delivery of goods, to drastically reduce waiting times at the venue pick-up windows and allow fans to enjoy the event more .
