Stratus tries to sell Hotel W Austin to Ryman for the second time (Arnold Wells / Austin Business Journal)
AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal) – Sales of the W Austin Hotel – which includes the music hall that recorded the famous Austin City Limits Live series – is back on track after being banned from COVID-19 for nearly two years -Pandemic was off the table.
Austin-based Stratus Properties Inc. announced on October 26th that it had agreed to expand the sale of W and ACL Live at the Moody Theater, known in the commercial real estate community as Block 21 in downtown Austin The Nashville-based Ryman Hospitality Properties Inc.
Ryman, owner of the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, will pay $ 260 million for the downtown block bordered by Lavaca Street, Second Street, Guadalupe Street, and Third Street.
