Texas Capital Bank Introduces New Leadership Structure in Austin, TX

Texas Capital Bancshares, the parent company of Texas Capital Bank, has named Chris Calvert and Claire Harrison as market chairmen and market presidents, respectively, of Austin, TX.
Harrison has been Senior Vice President of Corporate Banking for Texas Capital Bank since June in the bank’s Dallas office. In that role, she helped grow the bank’s corporate banking business, which covered companies with revenues of more than $ 250 million. As Market President, Harrison will act as an advisor responsible for developing new client opportunities and the bank’s overall growth in the market by focusing on collaboration across all business areas.
Calvert has been with Texas Capital Bank for more than 20 years, most recently as Region President of Austin, TX since 2019. With his promotion to Market Chairman, Calvert will maintain his current responsibilities for corporate and midsize banking in Austin. TX and will work with Harrison to lead and support the bank’s team.

Texas Capital Bank has introduced a new regional governance structure under which each of its key Texas markets – Dallas, Houston, Austin, Fort Worth and San Antonio – is led by executives positioned to operate internally across product lines and into the communities that the bank serves.

Prior to joining Texas Capital Bank, Harrison was director of corporate banking at Regions Bank, where she helped build the bank’s Texas corporate banking portfolio and expand the bank’s capital markets platform. Prior to Regions Bank, Harrison was on Amegy Bank’s corporate banking team, managing a tied-capital loan portfolio consisting of private equity investments and corporate clients. She also held various trading and sales roles at Citi.
Calvert joined the Commercial Banking Group of Texas Capital Bank in Austin, TX in 2000. Prior to his promotion to Regional President in March 2019, Calvert was executive vice president and led a commercial banking team focused on companies with annual sales between $ 10 million and $ 250 million.
Calvert began his banking career in 1985 at Security Pacific National Bank (Bank of America) in Los Angeles. In 1987 he moved to Austin, TX and worked for First Republic Bank (Bank of America) in various positions as a loan officer in private banking, commercial real estate and commercial banking. In 1996, he joined Bank One’s corporate and technology banking group (JPMorgan Chase), which focused on technology companies as well as private and publicly traded medium-sized companies.
