Governor Abbott promoting the economy and business climate of Texas at the annual meeting of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce
Austin, TX (STL.News) Governor Greg Abbott addressed the annual meeting of the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce. During his speech, Governor Abbott highlighted Texas’s strong economy and world-class business climate and thanked the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce for their great job creators and the growth of their local economy. The governor also congratulated the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce on being named the top 2% chamber in the country by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and praised the Port of Beaumont for its significant contribution to the state of Texas in making the state the leader in exports national for 19 years.
The governor was attended by Texas Parks and Wildlife Commissioner Richard Scott, Congressman Randy Weber, State Senator Brandon Creighton, State Representative Joe Deshotel, Jefferson County Judge Jeff Branick, Beaumont Mayor Robin Moutin, and other local leaders.
“Because of our welcoming business climate and young, growing, skilled, and diverse workforce, more and more great companies are moving to Texas every day, but that would be without the help of great organizations like the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce,” said Governor Abbott. “The Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce works tirelessly with business leaders to create better economic opportunities for the people of Southeast Texas every day to create a family and do business.”
