Several celebrities, including Real Housewives of Orange County, alum Meghan King, and President Joe Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens, took this phrase to heart by basically skipping the dating phase and getting engaged as soon as possible.
Other celebrities took plenty of time to get to know each other but didn’t find the need to have a long engagement before exchanging “I do’s”.
Here are 10 celebrity couples who have experienced quick romances:
Meghan King and Cuffe Owens
It’s unclear exactly when King and Cuffe started dating, but according to Us Weekly, they allegedly had seen each other for about a month before deciding to take the next step. The couple married in Pennsylvania on Monday, weeks after their engagement was announced.
“We just knew,” wrote King, 37, alongside an Instagram photo of the happy couple. “We introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Owens.”
In an interview with Brides magazine, King said that she and Owens “connected through a dating app, texted for a day or two, and then spent five hours straight on the first conversation.”
“When the call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours. We were back on the east coast within a week, met his family, and began planning our future.” together, ”she revealed. “We haven’t left each other for weeks.”
Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox
Actors Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox dated for two years before getting engaged in 2006. The couple split before the engagement was announced in 2010. Green and Fox wasted no time and were married just 23 days later.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth
Actress Reese Witherspoon and CAA agent Jim Toth started dating in 2010 before getting engaged that same year. The two married three months later on March 26, 2011. Witherspoon and Toth share a son, Tennessee (9).
Witherspoon and Toth kept their relationship mostly private, but the Little Fires Everywhere star posted about him a couple of times on social media. This year the couple celebrated their 10th anniversary.
“What a special day with all of our dear friends. Looking back, I can’t believe it passed so quickly!” She subtitled the social media post in March. “I think this is how it works with 3 kids, Big LOVE, lots of laughter, non-stop travel, so many dogs and fun adventures … discovering this crazy world together.”

Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson
Ariana Grande and comedian Pete Davidson dated just a few weeks in 2018 before they got engaged. The couple didn’t make it very far in the relationship before quitting less than five months later.
Grande went on to include Davidson in her hit breakup anthem, “Thank U, Next”.

Musician Justin Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin wasted no time after starting serious dating. The couple originally dated between 2015 and 2016 before they split. They eventually sparked their romance, and Bieber proposed marriage to Baldwin in July 2018, less than a month after it was reported they were back together.
The couple tied the knot in a New York City court in September 2018.

Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting were only together for three months before they decided to take the next step. The two got engaged in September 2013. They married in December of the same year.
