In February, US News & World Report voted the luxurious Post Oak Hotel by Tilman Fertitta 13th of the 50 best hotels in the US for 2021 – and 1st in Texas.
The opulent Post Oak still retains its status as the best in Houston in a new ranking, but an Austin inn was named the top in Texas by this outlet. Conde Nast Traveler has just given this title to the Fairmont Austin.
On October 5th, Conde Nast Traveler published the results of its Readers’ Choice Awards 2021. In addition to The Post Oak, three other local hotels appear in the top 20 hotels in Texas:

Since opening, the Post Oak has remained the only Forbes Double Five-star rated hotel in Texas. Located in the heart of Post Oak, the 10-acre property has 38 floors, 250 guest rooms and suites; 20 executive residences; and an elegant 35,000 square foot conference facility, including the largest ballroom in Uptown Houston.
Meanwhile, a huge 5,000-square-foot two-bedroom presidential suite features a private elevator, media room, exercise room, and secluded patio. Another draw is the club-like, private Oak Room, where Houston’s elite mingle.
Guests can visit the two-story Rolls-Royce showroom and in-house Bentley and Bugatti Post Oak Motors dealers. VIPs can take off in the hotel’s private helicopter.
For this year’s Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, the magazine surveyed hundreds of thousands of readers from April 1 to May 31. Readers rated hotels based on these criteria: room, service, food, design, location, value, and activities and facilities.
