APSU Soccer falls at SIU Edwardsville, 5-0

 100vw, 240px “/><strong>Edwardsville, Illinois</strong> – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision at SIU Edwardsville at Ralph Korte Stadium on Sunday.</p>
<p>Austin Peay (3-9-3, 0-5-1) fell back in the first half, while SIUE (6-6, 3-2) met Lily Schnieders in the 30th minute.</p>
<p>According to the Schnieders’ record, Austin Peay State University goalkeeper Chloé Dion made her first of five saves in the 44th minute and Claire Larose was halfway through in the 32nd.</p>
<p>In the second half, the Cougars found the back of the net four times and extended their lead to 5-0. Olivia Prock and Rachel Bradberry had blocked shots in the 74th and 79th minutes, respectively, before Prock shot the governors on goal in the 88th minute, but could not defeat SIUE goalkeeper Jensen Schoch.</p>

Next up for APSU Soccer
The Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team will have their home finals when they host Eastern Illinois on Thursday at 6pm at Morgan Brothers Soccer Field. The APSU closes the regular season when they travel to Murray State at 1:00 p.m. on October 24th to play at Cutchin Field in Murray, Kentucky.
