Circuit of The Americas keeps its new vacation tradition going and bringing in Peppermint Parkway Experience that is better than ever.

The drive-thru extravaganza debuted during the height of COVID last year and offers families and vacation lovers a safe way to party in their cars. This year’s event features several new attractions and activities, including a spectacular closing show that runs several times a night.

Get on

Peppermint Parkway is “a 1 mile (1.6 km) show of lights, music and joy” that runs from November 26th to December 26th. More than 6 million lights will illuminate the path as guests follow the event’s mascots, Pepper and Mint, down COTA’s Tunnel Road to deliver their letters to Santa Claus.

Dozens of live characters, including dancing elves, roller-skating snowflakes, and the most popular vacation grouch of all time, the Grinch, will interact with guests’ vehicles for an immersive vacation experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

Smile brightly

New this year, guests at the Mistletoe Kissing Booth can share a kiss with loved ones for a memorable photo opportunity that is perfect for your Christmas card. Families can snap a picture with Santa, write a letter to Santa, and head to the top of the COTA Candy Cane, the 251-foot observation tower that offers breathtaking views of the parkway and the illuminated Austin skyline.

Tram time

This year, COTA is also offering Twinkle Trams, a way to travel through the parkway in an open-air shuttle. This is a great option for parties and group events.

Village mood

In addition to the six recurring themed villages, there are two new ones to discover this year: ONEderland is a bizarre world made of giant illuminated mushrooms mixed with fascinating mosaic sculptures, and Twinkle Trail is a shimmering golden spectacle of dancing lights.

Christmas cruise

Racing fans can enjoy the Candy Cane Cruise, an exclusive opportunity to take a parade lap in your own car on COTA’s world-famous 3.41 mile FIA-grade Formula 1 track, which has been raced by many world champions.

We’re going to the plaza

Before or after your ride, get out of your car and walk through Peppermint Plaza. Guests can take a spin on one of over eight rides (perfect for kids and adventure seekers alike), write a letter to Santa, meet Pepper and Mint, and enjoy extra lights, displays, Christmas goodies, and more.

Graduation party

Also new this year is the North Pole Palooza, a 15-minute nighttime spectacle at Peppermint Plaza with multiple performances on selected evenings. “Ooh” and “ahh” for rockette-style cast members and then join Santa Claus for a Santa Shuffle on stage.

No Christmas party would be complete without a reading of The Night Before Christmas by the Big Man in Red himself and a Christmas dance number with falling snow. In between shows, guests have the opportunity to meet and snap a photo with the event’s mascots, Pepper and Mint.

Ticket packages start at $ 35 and are available now on site and on PeppermintParkway.com.
