Overnight I-90 detour planned Sept. 30 at 28th St. NE bridge project in Austin

A height restriction of 14.5 feet under the bridge remains in place if traffic is allowed under the bridge and will continue through October. Trucks that exceed the height limit must use the traffic ramps to avoid driving under the bridge during this time.
Other diversions remain.
Diversions
I-90 motorists heading east (coming from Austin) traveling to locations on the north side of 28th St. NE Bridge, drive past Exit 181 for 3 miles to Exit 183. Drivers will turn north at the exit on Highway 56 (left) and turn west (left) on 220th St. to travel west to reach 28th St. NE on the north side of the bridge.
I-90 motorists heading west For locations on the south side of 28th St. NE or Mower County Road 58, use Exit 183, turn south (left) onto Highway 56, and then west (right) onto 215th St.
Motorists heading south on 28th St. NE If you want to cross the bridge or drive east on I-90, you will be diverted by entering I-90 west and using exit 180B, crossing I-90, entering I-90 east, or Exit at Exit 181 and then travel south on 28th St. NE.
·Motorists heading north on 28th St. NE To cross the bridge or head west on I-90, head east (right) on 215th Street to Hwy 56, turn north (left) to reach I-90. Motorists should travel west on I-90 and continue or use Exit 181 to reach destinations on the north side or continue on 28th St. NE.
