Women’s Golf Travels To Indianapolis For Fall Invite

East Illinois Women’s Golf will head to Indianapolis this week as the Panthers play in their third event of the fall season, the Butler Fall Classic. The 54 event kicks off with a shotgun launch at 7:45 a.m. (Central) Monday morning with action at the par 70, 6,010 yards Highland Country Club in Indianapolis.
The field includes Host Butler, Eastern Illinois, Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Belmont, Chicago State, Evansville, Indiana State, IUPUI, Marian, Marshall, Northern Kentucky, UIC, and Valparaiso.
Ryanne Jackson and Monique Peterson were named the Panthers’ two best golfers at two events this season.
Jackson was the EIU’s top finisher at the Payne Stewart / Missouri State Invitational and has a season average of 84.5.
Peterson was the top finisher of the Panthers at the Austin Peay F&M Bank Intercollegiate last week, averaging 83.8 hits this season.
The EIU’s best team round this year was a 327 in the first 18 holes of the Missouri State Event. Jackson and Peterson both have a round of 77 this season, which ranks as the lowest on the team this year.
